who met by chance in the Caribbean and shared the same dream right from the start: to live on a paradise island. Italians by birth, they found themselves rediscovering the true value of Friendship between an excellent plate of pasta and a good glass of wine, sharing the pleasure of conviviality in the deepest sense of the word. Having both found themselves with a wealth of experience, they decide to pass on to others the value of genuineness and sharing.
Because “We are what we eat”.
Two years into their venture, they happened to meet Sara, who was a customer. And as often happens between owners and customers, they shared a moment of small talk, during which Sara mentioned that her family in Switzerland also runs a restaurant with a slightly different concept, and she expressed her ambition – despite her very young age – to create something of her own. A true synergy developed among the three, to the point that Sara became part of this adventure, merging her idea with theirs and giving life to ‘Simaredo & Swiss Grill’.

I look back at my childhood in Sicily with happiness. It all started BY watching my grandmother cook. I remember the passion in her eyes. The same passion I have when I cook up to this very day.
After working in renowned kitchens around Europe, including in the best Italian restaurant in Manchester, UK. I opened my own of restaurants in Sicily and in the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta. My most renowned being T’Anna Mari in Marsaxlokk has been frequented by a number of famous personalities.


I am also a member of the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation.
In 2022, I also fulfilled my childhood dream by opening Simaredo, a seafood restaurant in Punta Cana, blending the goodness of Mediterranean and Caribbean flavours.
